Upcoming releases - what to expect from Scary Watercolors in 2022

Access will improve!

As many of our long time followers know, Scary Watercolors is a small business, and we have always taken great care to ensure our paints and pigments are the highest quality available and still accessible to purchase for our loyal users. We've heard stories from many people new to watercolor painting over these last few difficult years, and one thing we consistently heard was that pigments were hard to find, frequently out of stock, and expensive. We don't like that any more than you do, and early last year we began a process of sourcing a global factory partner to help us increase access to Scary products.

Before the end of last year, we found such a partner. We are excited to announce that by mid-year 2022, a factory partner in China will be supplying the Scary family with increased access to our high-quality pigments and paints. In more good news, we have secured pricing with our new factory which guarantees that you'll be able to purchase the same great Scary products at the same great prices that you're used to. 

New Color Alert

It wouldn't be a brand new year without a brand new color, would it? Of course not.

Keeping up with previous 10 years, Scaries will be able to purchase a brand new pigment, developed by our master mixers. We heard from thousands of you that you were hoping to see an increase of colors to our line of metallic watercolors, and we promised that we were listening. Well, at the end of this month we are excited to announce that Scaries will see a brand new metallic pigment - Metallic Pthalo Blue! We don't have release photos just yet, but when we receive them we will post them here and to our newsletter recipients!
